Ecovoyage in Mongolia is concerned about the preservation of the environment and engages in various ways for it.

Involvement with local populations

Through our tours, we wish to encourage the involvement of the inhabitants in the protection of the nature, and also to employ personnel already sensitive to this cause, like the guards of the natural parks.

Indeed, by employing park rangers, we highlight their profession and thus help to upgrade it with international visitors but also local populations.

By staying with nomadic families, we allow them to obtain additional income which will be very useful to them to purchase wood (firewood or for the manufacture of enclosures). This contribution will then have a positive effect on the environment, as the Mongols are used to cutting wood in a “wild” and unregulated manner and do not replant trees afterwards.

Sharing meals with breeders helps to reduce purchases of packaged and packaged food (preserves or plastics). In the steppe, it is indeed difficult to get rid of its non-organic waste. In addition, you will have the pleasure of discovering the traditional Mongolian meal!

During your visits to families, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and share your knowledge. Often our conceptions of nature and ecology are distinct; It is very enriching to be able to confront our visions because they are often complementary! Our Mongolian tradition of protecting nature has for centuries marked our culture. Unfortunately it tends today to be lost, to forget itself. That is why it is crucial to establish a dialogue between cultures and generations.

It is a fair trip where the ecological footprint left by the trip, in particular CO2, is offset by the financial support of an ecological and / or environmental program. This means that part of the price you pay for your trip is donated to a partner association to help finance its projects.

It seemed more appropriate for us to concentrate on a single organization in order to be able to fully support it and to follow the evolution of each of the projects it proposes in complete transparency.
